Carers Support Selsey

Carers Support Selsey has a long history and now operates under the governance of Selsey Community Forum.  Carers Support Selsey aims to meet the needs of carers, both young and old, living in Selsey and the wider Manhood Peninsula. It provides information, advice, training and support, as well as helping to reduce isolation and loneliness, promoting the interests of carers and assisting in the resolution of their problems. In particular, Carers Support Selsey keeps in regular touch with carers and also arranges social events and outings, some for carers on their own and others with their loved ones. Carers Support Selsey works in partnership with Carers Support West Sussex and TuVida (formerly Crossroads Care) and is based in the Selsey Care Shop at 121 High Street, open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, Sat 9am-1pm or contact them by telephone on 01243 201616 or by email.

Selsey Care Shop runs a programme of bereavement and other counselling services as well as various kinds of support and information sessions for carers and their loved ones.

Carers Support Selsey's Afternoon Teas and other events offer an ideal opportunity for new carers

to get to know more about

what they might need.

A carer is anyone who gives unpaid care to a family member or friend who, due to illness, disabilty, or ageing, cannot cope without their support.

Our focus is firmly on the carer.
